Mo Salah ruled out of Liverpool trip to Brighton | OneFootball

Mo Salah has been ruled out of Liverpool’s trip to the Amex with a muscle injury, and will not return until after the international break.

According to TheArgus.co.uk, the forward has scored in three of his last four starts but signalled to the bench to come off after netting against Galatasaray in midweek.

On Friday, Liverpool boss Arne Slot described the issue as unusual. He said Egypt will be without Salah and added they hope he can recover quickly given his conditioning.

Slot pointed to Salah’s history of quick returns and expressed hope the two-week window would be enough for him to come back.

Jeremie Frimpong could deputise on the right, which would again push Dominik Szoboszlai into defence despite a starring midfield role against Galatasaray, with Joe Gomez not fit to cover.
