The Premier League run-in has sharpened transfer talk around Leeds United’s rivals, with Football Insider reporting that Mohamed Salah is set to remain at Liverpool and see out the deal he signed at the end of last season.

That follows a spell when the Egyptian was frozen out after a mixed-zone interview at Elland Road, with Arne Slot opting against using him from the bench as Liverpool dropped points in added time.

Salah questioned the club and manager amid poor results and said he felt made a scapegoat. After returning from the Africa Cup of Nations in January and links to Saudi Arabia, he has been back in regular action.

Leeds, meanwhile, are well placed to extend their Premier League stay under Daniel Farke after a strong run that lifted them from a perilous position.

Elsewhere, up to six Premier League sides could move for Germany defender Nnamdi Collins.

The 22-year-old has impressed for Eintracht Frankfurt, drawing interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle, Brighton and Brentford.

Collins has 19 league appearances this season and six in the Champions League. Primarily a centre back, he can also operate at right-back.
