Mohamed Salah’s future has moved back into sharp focus after a fresh update from his representative, with transfer speculation continuing to swirl around the former Liverpool forward.
The Egypt star, now 34, has seen talk over his next club intensify following his country’s exit from the World Cup at the hands of Argentina in the last 16. With no official decision yet announced, the rumour mill has pushed several possible destinations to the front, including the Saudi Pro League, MLS and a number of European sides.
Ramy Abbas Issa has now offered a rare public message on the situation, making it clear that no final call has yet been made. He wrote: “We still do not know where Mohamed will play next season but we may know very soon.”
That line will naturally grab attention, particularly with clubs and supporters trying to read every signal around the Mohamed Salah transfer story. What stands out most is the suggestion that movement could arrive quickly, even if the player’s camp are still keeping their options tightly controlled.
Abbas Issa also addressed the wider chatter that often surrounds a player of Salah’s status. “It is not our style to have discussions with clubs that Mohamed wouldn’t want to play for, just for the sake of noise.”
That remark feels significant. It points to a process driven by fit and ambition, rather than publicity. His representative has previously shown a willingness to shut down claims he believes are inaccurate, and this latest intervention follows the same pattern.
Reports linking Salah with Besiktas gathered pace after supporters chanted his name during Leandro Trossard’s unveiling, though club president Serdar Adali has already said: “It is not true that we are interested in signing Mohamed Salah this summer.”
Where Salah goes next will remain one of the major transfer talking points of the summer. For many who followed his remarkable years at Anfield, there will be a strong curiosity over whether he stays in Europe or chooses a fresh challenge elsewhere. For now, the key message is simple, Mohamed Salah’s future is undecided, but the wait for clarity may not be much longer.
