After netting 10 goals and providing 5 assists in 39 matches over the past eighteen months, Diop arrives in Belgium with a reputation as a fast, powerful centre-forward capable of putting real pressure on opposing defences. “He’s a player we’ve been tracking for a long time, and we’re thrilled he chose Gent,” said Kjeld Fort, the club’s chief operating officer.

The transfer is valued at around €1 million. Moctar Diop, who won the Norwegian second division title with Lillestrøm, is now ready to take the next step in his young career.
