😵‍💫 Modric erupted after the hammering, a third-tier side beat us | OneFootball

The historic thrashing suffered against England left Luka Modric completely disappointed. Croatia’s captain did not hold back after the 7-0 in Rijeka and delivered a very harsh self-criticism of his national team’s performance.

After the match, the legendary Croatian midfielder admitted that his team’s display was far below the expected level. “Today we would have lost even to a Third Division team.”

Croatia conceded four goals in the first half and went into the break trailing 0-4. Kane and Bukayo Saka both scored twice, while Jude Bellingham, Anthony Gordon, and Morgan Rogers completed England’s rout.

With Spain up next, Croatia will have little time to process the blow and will need to look for an immediate response.
