FC Porto coach Francesco Farioli crosses paths again with Terem Moffi, the striker he managed at Nice in 2023/24. According to O Jogo, after arriving that season he quickly offered warm praise for the Nigerian forward.
Farioli had studied many of Moffi’s matches for Lorient and Nice, noting his power and pace. He felt the forward showed similarities to Lukaku in the way he protects the ball, and viewed him as a player developing day by day.
By the end of that campaign, Moffi had 11 goals and finished as Nice’s top scorer, with the club ending fifth in the French league.
In pre-season 2024/25 he sustained a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. He missed almost the entire campaign but still scored one goal in five appearances.
This season he has three goals in 15 matches, a run that includes FC Porto’s 3-0 win in the Europa League.
