Sport Bild reports that Mohamed Amoura, one of VfL Wolfsburg’s key attacking players, is increasingly causing tension within the squad. Clashes with team-mates and head coach Daniel Bauer are linked to disagreements over playing style and his high expectations of others.
Language barriers are said to be contributing, with limited English and no German hampering communication.
Amoura was omitted from the squad for the 1-0 defeat to 1. FC Köln at the end of January. That decision was reportedly linked to him ending a training session on his own after being placed in the B team during a practice match.
He also made unwanted headlines last spring after a training-ground scuffle with Joakim Mæhle.
The Algerian international is 25 and plays as a forward.
