A return to French football appears to be a growing possibility for Mohamed Kaba, whose spell in Italy with Lecce has proven challenging. After a promising start to his career, his progress was severely hampered by a significant injury—a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee—which has limited his impact in Serie A.
This difficult period in Italy has now attracted the attention of Paris FC, who are actively seeking to bolster their midfield options in the winter transfer window.
The club's interest is rooted in Kaba's standout performances in the past, particularly during his time at Valenciennes in Ligue 2, where he was crowned the team's player of the season for 2022/23.
Paris FC believes his profile can add both robustness and balance to their engine room. For his part, the player is reportedly open to a move back to France, provided the sporting project presented to him is sufficiently compelling.
