Mohamed Salah agent plays down talk over free agent’s next club

Mohamed Salah remains a free agent after leaving Liverpool, and his representative has moved to cool speculation about the forward’s next club.

On Friday, his agent Ramy Abbas said on X that he did not personally know where Salah would play next season, adding that this ought to speak for itself.

A few hours earlier he wrote that it is not their style to hold discussions with clubs Salah would not want to join merely to make noise.

The comments followed reports that the Egypt international had a verbal agreement to join Besiktas in Türkiye.

Salah, 33, is regarded as one of the most coveted options on the market. He has 121 caps and 68 goals for Egypt.

With no decision yet disclosed, the summer saga may run on a while yet.
