Egyptian set to miss Champions League match after incendiary playing time complaints
Mohamed Salah has been left out of the Liverpool squad to face Inter Milan, according to reports.
The forward’s name has dominated back pages since he gave a stunning interview on Saturday, claiming he had been ‘thrown under the bus’ for Liverpool’s poor recent results.
He spoke after being left out of Arne Slot’s starting line-up for the third straight match as Liverpool drew 3-3 with Leeds, adding that his relationship with the manager had broken down.
Liverpool, though, appear to have sided with Slot. A report from French outlet RMC Sport claims that Salah has been left out of the travelling squad to face Inter as punishment for his outburst.
Salah was, however, spotted in open training ahead of the Inter trip.
Liverpool have not yet confirmed their travelling squad for the match, while Slot will provide a further update from Milan on Monday evening.

It remains to be seen whether Salah will be involved when Brighton visit Anfield on Saturday for what will be his last match before joining up with Egypt’s AFCON camp.
It could be his final outing for Liverpool altogether, though. Speaking on Saturday, Salah hinted that he might not return to Merseyside after the tournament.
He said: “At Anfield I will say ‘goodbye’ to the supporters, because I am going to [AFCON]. I don't know what will happen when I am there.”
Pressed as to whether he would return after the tournament, he added: “In football, you never know. I don't accept the situation and I have done so much for this club.
"I'm very disappointed, I've done so much for this club. Everyone has seen it in recent years, especially last season.
“It feels like the club is throwing me under the bus, that's how I feel.
“This is not acceptable for me. I don’t know why this is happening to me. I don’t get it. I think if this was somewhere else, the club would protect its player.
“The club promised me a lot in the summer, but I've been on the bench for three games. I can't say they've kept their promises.”
