Three days after being left unused in the 2-0 Champions League quarter-final first leg defeat to PSG at the Parc des Princes, Mohamed Salah scored for Liverpool against Fulham on Saturday.
The 33-year-old struck in the 40th minute with a fine left-footed finish. L'Équipe reports that he will leave the Reds at the end of the season after nine years on Merseyside.
It offered some relief for Salah, whose previous Premier League goal at Anfield was in November, a 2-0 win against Aston Villa.
Since that game he had scored only once in the league, away at Wolverhampton, a 1-2 defeat on three March.
The Fulham fixture formed part of the Premier League’s 32nd round, and the goal was his first in almost a month.
