Mohamed Salah should play again for Liverpool before the season ends, easing fears after his weekend injury and keeping alive a proper send-off.

He was forced off with a hip issue during Saturday’s 3-1 Premier League match against Crystal Palace. The club said in a statement that it was a minor muscle injury and that Salah should return before the end of the 2025-2026 season, ahead of his departure this summer.

Without another appearance, Saturday could have been his final outing at Anfield this season.

As it stands, Liverpool have two home games remaining, against Chelsea on nine May and Brentford on 24 May, the last day of the campaign.

Salah, 33, has been with the club since 2017.
