Mohamed Salah to FC Bayern? Eberl with a clear announcement

The speculation surrounding Mohamed Salah continues to gather pace – and with it the unrest at Liverpool FC. The 33-year-old, the face of the Reds attack for years, is apparently facing an abrupt departure after his unusually harsh statements against coach Arne Slot. In England, there are already reports that Salah could never wear the Liverpool FC shirt again. While Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are mentioned as possible destinations, the name of FC Bayern is also repeatedly mentioned. But now there is a clear answer from Munich.

The attacker has been left out of the squad for the important Champions League match against Inter Milan – a move that has further fuelled the rumours surrounding his future. English media are unanimous in their reports that Salah wants to start talks with potential new clubs this winter. His wish list is said to be full of prominent names, with the German record champions also being mooted alongside Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.

In sporting terms, Salah would undoubtedly be an asset to almost any team in the world. With 250 goals and 116 assists in 420 competitive matches, he has left an extraordinary mark at Liverpool. However, the ongoing escalation between him and coach Slot is calling everything into question – including whether he will remain at Anfield Road.

Eberl categorically rules out Bayern transfer

Despite the international rumour mill, however, things look clear at FC Bayern. In an interview with DAZN , sporting director Max Eberl has found clear words and categorically ruled out a possible transfer. When asked about FC Bayern’s interest in Salah, the 52-year-old was uncompromising: „We have an outstanding talent in Lennart Karl. Putting someone in front of them now makes no sense at all,“ he emphasised ahead of the Champions League clash against Sporting Lisbon.

This statement leaves no room for interpretation. The German record champions‘ personnel planning for Salah’s position is long-term and focused on their own talents. A short-term mega-deal, as a Salah transfer would mean, is not on the cards at Säbener Straße.

Eberl’s clear stance shows how clear FC Bayern’s strategic direction is in this area. While other top clubs could consider a winter transfer for the Egyptian, Munich have already closed their chapter in this story – before it has really begun.
