Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a boost as Mohammed Kudus reportedly returned to training with the first-team this morning.

They have been without the Ghana international since January when he picked up a thigh injury against Sunderland.

Kudus stepped up his rehabilitation earlier this month. He has now started training with the rest of his teammates and could be available for selection against Newcastle United on Saturday.

It is now up to Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi to decide whether to include Kudus in the matchday squad against the Magpies.

Having the former West Ham United attacker available is a huge boost for the Lilywhites.

The 26-year-old featured in 19 Premier League games last term, weighing in with two goals and five assists.

Spurs could do with his impact in the final third this season, and he will be desperate to return to action sooner rather than later.

Dejan Kulusevski has also stepped up his rehabilitation and could be back in action in the coming weeks.

Tottenham are without long-term injury absentees Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert, but James Maddison, Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro could be back playing next month.

The Lilywhites started the seaqson with a 3-0 defeat to Brentford in the Premier League last Saturday before recording a 5-1 victory over Charlton Athletic in the League Cup on Wednesday.

They will be desperate to return to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday, and Kudus will hope to play a role.
