Moises Caicedo and Cole Palmer are arguably Chelsea’s two best players, but the midfielder has suggested the Blues have a better player than the England international.
Palmer has been a revelation since joining Chelsea, but has been limited to just four appearances this season because of a groin injury.
It’s thought Palmer could return against either Barcelona or Arsenal at the end of the month, but his recovery is taken very much on a day by day basis.
In Palmer’s absence Caicedo has really stepped up and is arguably Chelsea’s most important player, and despite the other options in midfield the Blues would be struggling without him.
Enzo Maresca believes Caicedo is one of the top two midfielders in the world, and it’s hard to argue against that on current form.

Jason Cundy has claimed Caicedo is the heartbeat of Chelsea, and the Ecuadorian is one of a number of talented players.
However, it may come as a surprise that Caicedo has picked a player who cost nothing when asked by La Premier who the best player he’s played with was.
He simply responded: “Tough one, Reece James.”

James is one of the best players at Chelsea, but he’s had a difficult period with injuries, although it appears he’s put that behind him.
The 25-year-old has been fit now since January, the longest injury free period in a number of years, and Maresca stated earlier this month he’s now ready to play three games a week.

James has also been deployed in midfield this season and put in a brilliant performance in the win against Tottenham at the start of the month.
It’s a delight for all Chelsea fans to see him back to his best, injury free and making a positive impact on the team.
