Santos have signed Moisés, who once knocked the club out of the Paulistão.

According to Globo.com, in 2020 with Ponte Preta he came off the bench at Vila Belmiro, forced the corner for the equaliser, then scored their second in a 3-1 quarter-final.

It was his first outing at Vila Belmiro. After the match he called it a dream to play there and score, saying it was indescribable.

Two years earlier he had been playing amateur football in Santa Catarina, earning R$ 800 to R$ 1,000 per game. He even had a R$ 10,000 offer for a final, but as a professional he was not released by Hercílio Luz.

His first pro stint at Inter de Lages lasted a week, he left citing workload and pay. Agent Max da Silva proposed topping up club wages to match his amateur earnings.

He joined Hercílio Luz in early 2019 and was Concórdia’s top scorer in a promotion run, seven in 19. Loaned to Brusque later that year, he won the Copa Santa Catarina and led the scoring again with nine.

Da Silva also offered him to Santos, speaking to then president José Carlos Peres as he had a player in the academy. The move died, the clause to take him from Concórdia was R$ 500,000.

His breakthrough at Ponte in 2020 and 2021 led to Fortaleza signing him in early 2022. He scored 41 goals there and won two Campeonato Cearense and two Copa do Nordeste.

The 29-year-old was bought for 2 million euros, R$ 12.3m, plus bonuses tied to contractual targets, on a three-year deal.
