Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that vice-captain Molly Bartrip has signed a new deal that will keep her at the club until the end of the 2027/28 season.
Bartrip has been a consistent presence in Spurs’ backline since rejoining from Reading in 2021. Having started out in the club’s youth setup as an Under-10, the 29-year-old has gone on to become one of the most dependable defenders in the Women’s Super League.
She played every minute of the 2024/25 league campaign, totalling 1,980 minutes. It was the second time she has completed an entire WSL season for Spurs, and she remains the only player in club history to have done so since their promotion in 2019.
In March, Bartrip brought up her 100th appearance for the club. She now sits on 106 games in all competitions, joining a small group of players to reach that milestone in a Spurs shirt.
Following a disappointing season and the departure of head coach Robert Vilahamn, securing Bartrip’s future is an important step forward. Her leadership and reliability will be key as the club looks to reset and refocus ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Re-signing a player so central to the squad is a clear signal of intent from Spurs during a period of change.
