England fans have gone wild after Anthony Gordon put the Three Lions 1-0 up against Argentina in their World Cup semi-final.
The winger gave his team the lead in the 55th minute after a well-timed cross from Morgan Rogers.
Fans across the country could be seen jumping for joy as England inched closer to a first World Cup final since 1966.
Many in London joined in the celebrations as fans faced a nervy finish to see if their team could make it over the line.
However, Argentina equalised through Enzo Fernandez’ superb strike in the 85th minute before taking the lead in injury time, putting an end to England’s party.
Footage shared on social media showed supporters celebrating wildly in London’s Boxpark where a huge crowd was watching the match.
Fans in Manchester went equally ballistic as the goal went in.
In the stadium, David and Victoria Beckham were among the famous faces joining in the celebrations.
England faced Argentina in a scrappy semi-final with a large number of fouls in a first half which saw no shots on target.
Recent Barcelona signing Gordon was able to separate the two sides just ten minutes after the restart.
However, the Argentinians roared back to win the game with two high quality goals.
The world champions will now face Spain in the final on Sunday.
Spain booked their place in the final on Tuesday after easing past France in a 2-0 win.
