The race to sign USL Dunkerque’s Gessime Yassine (20) is heating up and could reach a conclusion in the coming days, as per a report from Foot Mercato.

Yassine has impressed in Ligue 2 for Dunkerque and notably put in a dazzling display against RC Strasbourg Alsace in the Coupe de France earlier this month. Le Racing are one of the clubs interested in the Morocco youth international, Foot Mercato understands, as are most of the clubs towards the top of the Ligue 1 table, bar Paris Saint-Germain.

The publication adds that AS Monaco are also one of those very interested parties, and along with Strasbourg, they lead the race for the forward. There are already ongoing talks between clubs and given the sheer number of interested parties, Dunkerque are hoping to instigate a bidding war.

As well as the intense interest from Ligue 1 clubs, there is also interest from Borussia Monchengladbach, Villarreal, and Werder Bremen. Saudi Arabian clubs are also interested, but Yassine is looking to remain in Europe and – more specifically – in France. His move could be concluded in the opening days of the transfer window.
