According to a report by Bild, AS Monaco will attempt to coax Borussia Dortmund into selling Paris Brunner (18) this summer. Brunner, a star within the club’s U19s and a world champion with the German U17s is thought to be angling for a move away from his formative club.
The German outlet reports that he wants to train and play with the professionals at Dortmund on a regular basis, something that cannot be promised to the young forward. Bild writes that the club would be happy to see him train with the new head coach Nuri Şahin, but they can only offer him games primarily with the U19s or U23s.
Brunner is not content with that pathway and is tempted by a long-term contract with Monaco where he would likely be loaned to sister club Cercle Brugge in the Belgian league. The teenager only has one year left on his contract with Dortmund, and it is expected that if Monaco were to formalise their intentions with a bid in the low million, they could land the U17 world champion.
