According to Coluna Do Fla, Monaco sporting director Thiago Scuro has contacted Flamengo executives José Boto and Leonardo Jardim to say no Flamengo player currently interests the Monegasques.

Since Filipe Luís arrived at Monaco, several Flamengo players have been linked to the Ligue 1 side, including Jorginho, Léo Pereira, Evertton Araújo, Jorge Carrascal and Erick Pulgar. The French club are not pursuing any of them.

Monaco have one remaining non-EU slot and plan to use it on a marquee signing. Jorginho, Léo Pereira and Erick Pulgar are over 30, which sits outside the club’s usual recruitment profile.

Amid talk of interest in Pulgar from France, Saudi Arabia and the United States, Flamengo believe agents are seeking leverage for a new deal. The midfielder is contracted until December 2027 and is among the lower earners in Jardim’s midfield group.

Pulgar’s release clause is four million euros, under R$30 million, allowing any club to trigger it and agree terms. No one has yet signalled a willingness to pay. Of the five names linked, only Evertton Araújo fits a typical European profile.
