AS Monaco are reported to have rejected a €45m bid from Paris Saint-Germain for Maghnes Akliouche (24), according to L’Équipe.
However, this latest setback is unlikely to prevent Les Rouge et Bleu’s management from returning to the fray soon, as they intend to remain patient in their pursuit of the forward.
Having already been turned down three times, PSG have no intention of overpaying for the transfer of the French international (10 caps), whilst Monaco, to whom he is under contract until 2028, are said to be demanding a fee of €70m to agree to let him go.
If, for one reason or another, the two clubs fail to reach an agreement regarding Akliouche’s future, Liverpool – who are also interested in the 24-year-old – could well attempt to step up their pursuit.
A regular starter in 42 of the 43 matches he played last season, the Tremblay-en-France native has once again made a name for himself, scoring seven goals and providing 11 assists across all competitions.
