Monaco scored inside the first minute of the Champions League play-off first leg against PSG on Tuesday night.

A misplaced cross-field pass from Nuno Mendes was seized upon, allowing Monaco to launch the move.

Alexandre Golovine delivered a cross for Folarin Balogun, who was left unmarked in the box.

The American guided a header past Matveï Safonov to give Monaco the early lead.

It was Balogun’s fourth Champions League goal this season.

He had already scored against Bodo/Glimt in early November, Pafos in late November and Galatasaray in December.

On two occasions, his goal was the only one of the match, securing Monaco victory.
