Foot Mercato reports that AS Monaco have submitted a new bid for Algeria international Fares Ghedjemis, stepping up their search for a replacement for Maghnes Akliouche after his move to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.

The 23-year-old impressed for Frosinone in Serie B last season, helping the club secure promotion to Italy’s top flight. He is expected to move this summer.

The winger is not cheap, and Celtic and Rangers, who had shown strong interest, have withdrawn from the race.

Ghedjemis is currently prioritising Monaco, while Besiktas are also in negotiations to sign him. He is not closing the door on a switch to Türkiye.

The value of Monaco’s latest offer for the former Le Havre AC academy product has not been revealed.
