Monaco v PSG: A good number of Paris fans expected at Stade Louis II

This Tuesday at 9 PM (broadcast on Canal+) Paris Saint-Germain (2nd in Ligue 1) will face AS Monaco (8th) at the Stade Louis II as part of the first leg of the Champions League 2025-2026 playoffs (return on Wednesday, February 25). According to L’Equipe, PSG will see at least 1,000 opposing supporters take their place in the stands.

“Rated 2 out of 5 by the National Division for the Fight Against Hooliganism, the security arrangement surrounding the playoff between Monaco and PSG takes into account the risk related to the presence of Marseille supporters in the area. 1,000 PSG supporters are expected at Stade Louis II. The protocol will be identical to that of a Ligue 1 match: buses will be escorted by motorcade to the stadium. As in Brest last year, it is likely that other Parisian supporters present in the region have purchased tickets and will be scattered throughout the venue. A security meeting is scheduled for today to refine the arrangements.”

The numbers are not impressive for a Champions League match, but given the capacity of Stade Louis II (18,523 seats), it is a very good turnout. Enough to fill the designated visitor section and undoubtedly encourage the team throughout the match. It is a habit for Parisians, often highlighted by coach Luis Enrique. And they might well be accompanied by other supporters in the stadium. We can only hope that the team will rise to the occasion to experience a great evening, before the return match at Parc des Princes. All, of course, without incident.
