AS Monaco visit Liverpool on Sunday for a pre-season friendly. According to L'Équipe, kick-off is at 15:30 and the match will be shown live on Ligue 1+.

Monaco have begun a new cycle this summer with Filipe Luís taking charge after a disappointing campaign that ended seventh in Ligue 1. That finish gives them a route into the Conference League qualifying play-offs on 20 and 27 August, against Ferencváros or Górnik Zabrze.

Their warm-up results have been mixed, a 5-2 win over Saint-Priest of National one, a 2-0 defeat to Sporting Portugal, then a 2-2 draw with Cercle Bruges.

This is Monaco’s fourth friendly, a high-profile test away to Liverpool. The Reds finished fifth in the Premier League last season and have also entered a new era under Andoni Iraola.

Iraola opened with wins against Sunderland, 4-2, and Wrexham, 1-0, before a first setback to Leeds, 4-2, last Sunday. The game takes place at Anfield on Sunday 9 August.
