Miguel Monsalve is training separately from Grêmio's main group, working at the club's Eldorado do Sul base while the first team trains at CT Presidente Luiz Carvalho in Porto Alegre.
According to Globo.com, the decision followed his refusal of recent offers and his exclusion from the coaching staff's plans, and the interested clubs were not disclosed.
His last appearance was on 23 July, away to Bolíviar, in the Copa Sul-Americana. He came on in the second half for 30 minutes and has not been named in a squad since.
This year, the Colombian has played only 13 matches, scoring one goal against Juventude in the Gauchão group stage and providing no assists.
He joined in July 2024 as part of Alberto Guerra's reinforcement drive alongside Arezo, Aravena and Braithwaite. Only the Danish forward remains in the squad and is used by Luís Castro, albeit as a substitute.
Monsalve, who arrived from Independiente de Medellín, has made 63 appearances for Grêmio with seven goals and five assists. He never secured a starting berth despite a promising opening to 2024, and his contract runs to the end of 2028.
