Monza signed Jan Ziolkowski from Roma, but are also down to the details for Boca Juniors hitman Exequiel Zeballos and Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson.

The final hours of the transfer window are proving to be very active for the Serie A newcomers, who lost both opening fixtures this season under coach Ivan Juric.

This morning, they officially secured defender Ziolkowski from Roma, on loan with option to buy for €18m plus a 10 per cent sell-on fee.

That’s not all, as Fabrizio Romano claims Monza also agreed a surprising deal for Boca Juniors forward Zeballos, who had been very close to joining Napoli earlier in the summer.

It is reported to be a €4m purchase, but with Boca Juniors retaining 40 per cent of the future sale.

This is a good deal for all concerned, because Zeballos was down to the final months of a contract that expires on December 31, and he should land on Italian soil tonight for a medical.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia and Fanatik also report that Monza are down to the details for Galatasaray defender Nelsson.

That represents a return to Serie A, because he had already played on loan at Roma and then last season Verona.
