Lionel Messi's Inter Miami crashed out of the CONCACAF Champions Cup after being put to the sword by Monterrey on Wednesday.
Trailing 2-1 from the first leg, the Argentine superstar, who has just recovered from a recent injury, was back in the side and did manage a late assist to continue his record of being directly involved in a goal in all of his side's games in 2024.
But that proved a mere consolation, coming five minutes from time with his team already 3-0 down in a game they ultimately lost 3-1 and finished with 10 men after Jordi Alba's dismissal.
And the manner of some of the goals conceded understandably left Messi visibly frustrated - none more so than for this goalkeeping gift for the opener.
As if that wasn't bad enough, a disastrous attempt to play out from the back further contributed to their downfall after half-time.
A bad night at the office all round.
