Real Madrid brought on Xabi Alonso hoping for the manager to bring a new ideology to the club, and thereby revolutionise their style of play as they transition to a new generation of stars.
So far, the coach’s spell at the club has been positive with the team looking sharp, consistent, and more balanced on the field.
The biggest testament to the same came last weekend when Real Madrid took on Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu, dominated them for ninety minutes, and took all three points in a fascinating Clasico performance.
As relayed in a recent report by MARCA, the Clasico win more than just three points for Real Madrid.
It was a statement for the dressing room that Alonso’s project is headed in the right direction, and has only improved the faith in the manager’s ideas.

For starters, the dressing room now views games differently with Alonso’s pre-game video analyses and study of individual performances now becoming an essential part of preparation.
The team now spends a significant amount of time understanding the opponents and dwelling on tactical changes that can give them the edge in games.
Further, Real Madrid now believe that they have a chance to evolve and grow stronger with every passing game, and they approach every fixture looking to better their performance from the previous one.
The situation, thus, looks promising for the new coach as the team are confident they are on the right path and under the right guide. That confidence, needless to say, will go a long way.
