Yassine Bounou the Moroccan national team goalkeeper & Al Hilal shot stopper has been crowned Africa’s Best Goalkeeper for 2025 following official announcement by the CAF during its annual awards gala held in Rabat.

A season worthy of the continent’s top honour

Bounou delivered standout displays across all competitions helping Al Hilal maintain one of the strongest defensive records in the region while continuing to anchor Morocco’s back line with experience & composure.

The award was presented to Bounou by Egyptian legend Essam El Hadary one of Africa’s greatest ever goalkeepers.
