With the winter transfer window open, Morocco's promising international midfielder Amir Richardson has emerged as a key target. The 23-year-old, currently with ACF Fiorentina but seeing limited playing time, is now the subject of serious interest from Ligue 1's Stade Brestois.

Seeking Playing Time

Richardson's potential move is driven by a need for regular first-team football. Since his €4.5 million transfer to the Italian club in August 2024, the attacking midfielder has been restricted to just four appearances in all competitions. With his long-term contract running until June 2029 and an annual salary of €2.22 million, the focus is now on a loan move to help him regain his rhythm and development momentum.

Brest Advances as Other Suitors Cool Interest

According to reports from journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Stade Brestois has taken a concrete step by entering direct discussions with the player's camp to secure a loan deal this January. This interest comes as other potential destinations have faded.

Previous links to OGC Nice and Olympique de Marseille now appear unlikely. As reported exclusively by Africafoot, a move to Marseille has been ruled out, and a winter transfer to Nice is also considered improbable. This has paved the way for Brest to take the lead in the race to sign the young Moroccan star for the remainder of the season.
