Morocco: Achraf Hakimi makes his return to the pitch!

Achraf Hakimi is racing against the clock. After suffering a severe sprain to his left ankle on November 4, the Moroccan full-back has finally resumed training—first indoors, then individually on the pitches at the Campus. Now free from his orthopedic boot, he is putting in targeted workouts, an encouraging sign for both the medical staff and Atlas Lions fans.

With less than three weeks to go before the opening match against Comoros, Morocco still doesn't know if Hakimi will be fully fit. After twenty days of intensive treatment in Spain, the Moroccan international continues his rehabilitation in Poissy. Despite the uncertainty, the player remains fully determined and is convinced he'll be ready for the AFCON kick-off.

Paris Saint-Germain, however, is much more cautious. Fearing a lack of match rhythm and the risk of a relapse, the Parisian club is urging prudence. With a packed and decisive second half of the season ahead, PSG knows that a premature return could jeopardize the rest of their defender's campaign. The final decision may well be made in the last days before the tournament begins.
