Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi says pride will follow Ismael Saibari’s proposed Bayern Munich switch, while insisting the forward remains focused on World Cup duty. Reports indicate the PSV attacker is close to a €55 million move after a medical in the United States, where he is with Morocco at the World Cup.

Saibari scored in Morocco’s 1-1 opening draw against Brazil. “We do not decide the timing, of course, but it is not official yet,” he said, according to AFP.

Ouahbi said they are proud when Moroccan players reach big clubs such as Bayern. The 25-year-old is calm about the situation and, in his view, Bayern have not been aggressive in their communication.

“I am lucky enough to know [Bayern coach] Vincent Kompany very well. I think he understands that the priority right now is Morocco, but we will be very proud when it is done, and we want the best Moroccan players at the best clubs,” he added.

He is expected to lead the line again when they face Scotland on Saturday at 00:00 CEST.
