A major shake-up is looming on the Atlas Lions' bench in Morocco. Mohamed Ouahbi has emerged as the clear favourite to succeed Walid Regragui.

Morocco is already turning the page on Walid Regragui. The Atlas Lions' head coach had expressed his desire to step down after AFCON 2025. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation accepted his request once a successor was identified.

According to Foot Mercato, Mohamed Ouahbi will take charge of the senior national team, succeeding Walid Regragui. After leading Morocco's U20s to a World Cup title last October, the coach now faces the challenge of ushering in a new era for the Atlas Lions, with less than four months to go before the 2026 World Cup.
