Tournament gets underway as hosts kick off action

Morocco vs Comoros LIVE!

The Africa Cup of Nations kicks off tonight as hosts Morocco take on Comoros in the opening game at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. The Atlas Lions are the bookies’ favourites for the tournament and are strong across the board, with perhaps the best squad on paper in the competition.

They take on a Comoros side who are hardly fossils, and will be keen to serve up an opening-day upset. Morocco reached the semi-finals of the last World Cup, and boast the likes of Achraf Hakimi, Noussair Mazraoui and Brahim Diaz among their ranks. They will be tough to topple.

Before this game, there is the opening ceremony of the Africa Cup of Nations, which should be a real spectacle as well on a huge weekend for African sport.
