The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by Morocco, is nearing its climax. The Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat will stage the highly anticipated final between Morocco and Senegal this Sunday evening.
The two national teams will battle it out for the continent's most coveted trophy. Spurred on by their home crowd, Morocco are aiming for a second African title, more than fifty years after their only triumph in 1970. On the other side, Senegal are also targeting their second title, having previously lifted the trophy in 2021.
The CAN 2025 final will take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 GMT, which is 20:00 local time in Morocco.Historically, this will be the 32nd meeting between the two sides in all competitions. Morocco have the edge, boasting 18 wins to Senegal’s 7, while 6 matches have ended in a draw.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has increased the prize money for this year’s competition. The CAN 2025 champions will receive $10 million, the runners-up $7 million, semi-finalists $2.5 million, and quarter-finalists $1.3 million each.
