Ahead of the Juventus Men's First Team Serie A Matchday 11 fixture away at Udinese (Saturday, 2 November at 18:00 CET), coach Thiago Motta gave his usual pre-match press conference on the eve of the game.
Speaking on the anniversary of Juventus' founding, Motta took the chance to share a thought for the Club on its special day: "I am honoured to be part of the history of this great club, and I wish them all the best, both for today and for the future."
"Tomorrow [Saturday] we have to put in a great performance in Udine. We have to leave them as little space as possible to play their game, and that's something we must to do together. We have to go there with the solid conviction of playing a good game and moving up the table. We are still at the beginning but we have to do much better, even if it could be said that against Parma we perhaps deserved to win. However, it was not enough, and so we must grow."
"We definitely have to do better on both the offensive and defensive side. It's not a question of how many balls are played, but rather how decisive you are as a team in the two halves. We're not talking about quantity, but instead quality. We must be careful with all aspects of the game, Udinese have won five games at home, so that's something we'll be bearing in mind."
"We will see about the next few games, but for tomorrow neither Douglas [Luiz] nor Nico [Gonzalez] will be with us. [Teun] Koopmeiners is recovering well, but he is clearly not at the top. He trains well, is always positive and tries to help the team. [Dusan] Vlahovic might rest tomorrow, but I have to say that at this stage of the season the players aren't tired, we all have to give something more."
