Moussa Sissoko has signed for Panathinaikos on Monday, beginning his first spell in Greek football at 36. The Athens club are fifth in the Greek top flight.

According to L'Équipe, he has agreed an 18-month contract. He had been with Watford since summer 2024 in the Championship, briefly wearing the armband early in the season before slipping out of the rotation.

Sissoko started his career at Toulouse from 2007 to 2013, then moved to Newcastle from 2013 to 2016 and Tottenham from 2016 to 2021.

He first joined Watford in 2021, staying until 2022, before returning to France with Nantes from 2022 to 2024, a mixed spell.

Capped 71 times by France with two goals, he featured at the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 and 2021 European Championships.
