Schalke striker Moussa Sylla was spotted at Molineux during Wolves against Manchester United, prompting speculation over his future. The club’s sporting director Frank Baumann has addressed the situation, saying he is relaxed about the player’s trip.

RUHR24 reports that Baumann described it as normal for footballers to watch other clubs and said he was extremely relaxed about it. He added, “We assume that he will play many more games for us after the winter break”.

Sylla’s appearance in the stands drew attention in Germany after photos emerged, with some wondering about a January move. With AFCON approaching for the Mali international, others even questioned whether he had played his last match for Schalke before the break.

The match itself was a five-goal affair and, from a Wolves perspective, a painful watch. Much of the focus at Molineux had been on home-fan protests.

Sylla and his team-mates had a couple of days off from training and he used the break to take in a Premier League game.

There was no suggestion of a January transfer in Baumann’s remarks.
