Everton attacker Iliman Ndiaye has enjoyed a brilliant start to the 2025/26 season, playing a massive role as the Toffees bid to secure European football.
The Everton ace has bagged three goals and created two big chances, but those numbers do not reflect the overall impact the Senegalese international has made.
Ndiaye is Everton’s driving force and has the needed x-factor in the final third, offering the Merseyside club attacking impetus with his willingness to always drive forward and be positive.
Ndiaye’s form prompted praise from Everton manager David Moyes, who lauded his side’s talisman.
Moyes said (via the club’s website), “Ili has hugely impressed me with how he’s played. He’s gone from the left side to the right side.
“He can play either side. I think he’s been better there.
“We played him as a number 10 recently (the first half against Crystal Palace), and I don’t think it suited him as much as playing off the sides.
“He’s been so good. We’re getting goals from him as well.
“He’s a great lad to work with. He’s shown some brilliant moments, especially in the first half against Manchester City, but we just want him to be like that in all the games.”
Ndiaye’s form is so good that Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank also singled him out for praise ahead of this weekend’s clash.
The ‘mesmeric’ playmaker will be a key player as the Toffees look to get back to winning ways following the loss to the Cityzens.
Everton have one win in their last five games across all competitions and desperately need all three points at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this Sunday.
Moyes’ side will take confidence from the fact that Spurs have not beaten the Toffees away from home since December 2018.
Everton have also won each of their last five Premier League matches played on a Sunday.
