Muharemovic vs Trafford: Leeds United fans pick best new signing so far | OneFootball

Leeds United fans have ranked the club’s seven summer signings, with Tarik Muharemovic edging James Trafford in a poll of more than 1,000.

According to Leeds Live, supporters have seen all seven recruits to varying degrees, Muharemovic playing every minute while Jean-Matteo Bahoya has barely had two.

Michael Zetterer was seventh, most putting him bottom after a bruising League Cup debut at Chelsea with six conceded, though not all his fault. Bahoya finished sixth after a bright late bow against Crystal Palace, with more than 200 ranking him last.

Fifth went to Melvin Bard, who has played 78 minutes at Chelsea and 18 against Newcastle United. He has shown fight, but his wing-back positioning needs work, with nearly 480 opting for fifth.

Harry Wilson placed fourth. He has not started a league match since the win at Nottingham Forest, assisted at Chelsea but lost the ball for their third, and is nursing a quad injury. A total of 526 put him fourth, with more than 250 selecting fifth.

Nico Elvedi was third with 731 votes, impressing with stout defending and composure, and his cross led to Jayden Bogle’s goal against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Muharemovic won overall with 688 votes, more than 440 clear of Trafford, who received 591 selections for second. Muharemovic has made key interventions, used the ball well and scored against Chelsea, while Trafford’s distribution has included the odd scare and the lack of required world-class saves perhaps counted against him given Elvedi and Muharemovic’s work.
