MEXICO CITY – The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup continued with Nashville SC earning a 1-nil win against Club America, advancing by the same score on aggregate, in the Second Leg of their Quarterfinals series on Tuesday at Estadio Banorte in Mexico City Mexico.

Club America had a chance to take the lead in the 32’ with a shot from the center of the box from Raphael Veiga.

Nashville captain Hany Mukhtar broke the deadlock for Nashville SC in the 51’, sending a right-footed banger from the right side of the box to score the first and only goal of the series.

Las Águilas had a late chance to even things in the 77’, as Raul Zuñiga was denied by Nashville goalkeeper Brian Schwake.

With the result, Nashville SC advances to the Concacaf Champions Cup Semifinals for the first time in the history of the tournament. The MLS side awaits the winner of the series between Tigres UANL and Seattle Sounders FC.

Nashville SC became the second MLS team to eliminate Club América in the Concacaf Champions Cup while playing the second leg away from home since the current format was implemented in 2008. The other instance was Toronto FC in the 2018 semifinals.
