Newcastle United will entertain Manchester United at St. James’ Park this Wednesday night as they hope to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Magpies suffered a 3-2 loss at the hands of Everton recently, so they would be eager to put in a good performance versus the Red Devils in midweek.

Eddie Howe will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Jacob Murphy and Harvey Barnes could both play from the start of this clash.

4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Manchester United

Defence

Nick Pope will operate in between the sticks for the Magpies after he conceded two goals in his last league outing. Malick Thiaw will play alongside Dan Burn at the heart of the Newcastle backline as they hope to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.

Kieran Trippier will hope to prove his value as the right-back, while Lewis Hall looks to produce a solid performance on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well before offering some support to their teammates up top.

Sven Botman will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Midfield

Joelinton, Sandro Tonali and Jacob Ramsey will operate as the central midfielders for Newcastle as they try to dictate the tempo of the game in the middle of the park.

Joe Willock will have to be content with a place on the bench as he waits for his opportunity to impress in the second half if needed.

Attack

Harvey Barnes will hope to make a difference on the left flank, while Jacob Murphy looks to prove his worth as the right-sided wide player.

Anthony Gordon will lead the charge for the Tyneside club down the middle. He would be eager to put his pace to good use when he spearheads the Newcastle attack this weekend.

Yoanne Wissa will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the contest if the Magpies are in need of a goal by then.
