Chelsea are once again expected to be busy this summer, and face a critical transfer window in terms of both incomings and outgoings.
The Blues have a number of players they need to move on, whilst it’s thought they want to sign a centre back, and add another midfielder and attacker to their ranks.
New manager Xabi Alonso will reportedly have a say in transfers, and it’ll be interesting to see what players he brings in and who he wants to keep.
A number of Chelsea stars are facing uncertain futures, and the Blues will be desperate to keep hold of their best players.
One player facing an uncertain future is Acheampong, despite Chelsea’s insistence that he’s simply not for sale.
The 20-year-old, who can play as both a right back and centre back, has made 29 appearances in all competitions this season.
Acheampong was handed a rare start in Chelsea’s win against Tottenham on Tuesday, his first in the league since February.
The youngster has been linked with a number of clubs, and Jacobs has reported United have scouted Acheampong.
“Manchester United have scouted Chelsea’s Josh Acheampong,” he told The United Stand.
“Chelsea have always insisted he’s not for sale, however my information is that the player would be quite interested in exploring options if he doesn’t feel he’s going to get regular game time under Alonso.”
