For any Inter Milan supporter, the evening of 31st May 2025 remains to this day an open wound, far from having healed. On that date, on the pitch at the Allianz Arena in Munich, the Nerazzurri were swept aside by Paris Saint-Germain’s masterful performance in the Champions League final (5–0).

Playing in central defence for the occasion, the Lombardy club’s defender Alessandro Bastoni (27) still carries the memory of that traumatic experience. This is particularly due to the individual performances of Ousmane Dembélé (29) and Désiré Doué (21).

With two key contributions (two assists) and three (two goals and one assist) respectively, the PSG forwards gave the Italian his “worst night”, as he described it in a press conference ahead of the clash between Les Bleus and the Nazionale.

“We’re up against two of the five best players in the world,” concluded Bastoni, who is set to face the two Frenchmen once again.
