Matthew Pollock then turned into his own net (27.) to bring the Hammers level.

After the restart, Jarrod Bowen's long-range drive was tipped over by Federico Ravaglia (52.). Mads Hermansen later denied Rocco Vata in the second minute of second half stoppage time.

On the hour the Hornets freshened their attack and pushed for a winner, but Jordan Zemura's deliveries and half chances for the substitutes were repelled, while the Hammers forced a late spate of corners without carving out clear openings.

The Hornets registered 15 attempts, four on target, and had 37.7% possession. The Hammers dominated the ball at 62.3% and earned 11 corners, but managed just one effort on target.

Next, the Hornets visit Swansea City. The Hammers host Wolverhampton Wanderers.
