NAC Breda reject two bids from Portsmouth for Polish goalkeeper

VI are reporting that NAC Breda have rejected two offers from Portsmouth for goalkeeper Daniel Bielica. Portsmouth have reportedly not even received a response from NAC for the 27-year-old goalkeeper. The former Gornik Zabrze goalkeeper is currently only under contract with the club until 2027, so NAC are certainly taking a risk if they continue to reject bids from the likes of Portsmouth without a contract extension for Bielica.

The second bid from Portsmouth was said to be in the region of €500k, clearly too low for NAC. However, as the summer continues, Portsmouth may find the club are more willing to entertain the offers if it becomes clearer that Bielica wants to leave and his desired destination is Portsmouth. One would assume that Bielica would be open to a move to Portsmouth given that NAC were relegated from the Eredivisie last season. Bielica has been the sides number one for two seasons now, playing 66 games.

Portsmouth could offer him the chance to likely earn more money and play at a higher level than the Dutch second tier. This feels like a transfer story that has not reached a full conclusion as of yet.
