Nadiem Amiri ‘to seek’ move away from Mainz

Nadiem Amiri is exploring a move away from Mainz at the end of the season, according to Sky Germany.

The 29-year-old is said to be seeking a new challenge, with a switch to Saudi Arabia considered an option.

Mainz, however, would like to keep him and are keen to extend a contract that runs until 2028.

The Germany international is currently out with a heel injury, with a return not expected until early April.

Despite that setback, Amiri is hoping to push for Germany’s World Cup squad, having earned nine senior caps.
