Naftal, former Porto forward from the 1960s, dies aged 84

Naftal, a former Porto forward from the 1960s who scored nine goals, has died this week aged 84.
According to O Jogo, the Mozambique-born Domingos Lucas Naftal had been living in a care home in Edmonton, Canada.
His career also included spells with V. Guimarães, Tirsense, Covilhã, Espinho, Marinhense, Vilanovense and Aliados de Loredelo.
He is remembered for two victories over Eusébio’s Benfica in 1965, first netting the only goal of a March meeting.
He then opened the scoring in a 2-0 win that September, a match which marked Pavão’s Porto debut.
